Pinnacle Bancorp challenged Avant Architects to create a signature building that would reflect the strong rural Nebraska roots of the corporation while expressing confidence in and anticipation of the future.  The four story 85,000 SF headquarters building serves as the anchor for the Pinnacle Bancorp company, and features prominently on the skyline of West Omaha.

  • Location:  Omaha, Nebraska
  • Project Size:  85,000 SF
  • Project Cost:  $9.1 million (shell)
  • Project Completed:  2011
  • LEED Certified; v2009 Core and Shell; awarded 2012.

The structure is sited in a landscape garden, positioned to provide maximum exposure and views of the Omaha skyline.  A new 12,000 SF retail bank environment welcomes visitors and customers in a relaxed, sophisticated setting. The private conferencing center on the fourth floor opens on to a roof deck and garden of sedums.  The sweeping roof overhang shades the upper level deck while providing a prominent, recognizable feature on the evening skyline along West Dodge Road.  The building is an expression of their respect for the environment and is LEED Certified under LEED 2009 for Core and Shell.

The building is 4 stories built over an underground parking garage.  The building is constructed using a structural steel frame and utilizes precast concrete panels, metal panel, natural stone veneer, and high- performance curtain wall glazing systems to complete the envelope.  High efficiency HVAC and lighting systems, high performance envelope construction, intentional use of local, regional, and environmentally responsible materials, and a green roof all contributed to the LEED Certification for the building.
